Scott Leslie is a queer artist living and working in Halifax NS, on the unceded ancestral land of the Mi’kmaq Nation. He is originally from Victoria BC, on the unceded Coast Salish Territory of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ nations. His work merges historical scientific illustration with cartoons, pattern, and appropriated imagery to create dark, comical, and surreal worlds. His art is interdisciplinary in nature, working with a variety of media, such as drawing, painting, performance, and collage to examine the world around him.
